Bavarian Camper – Your motorhome rental in the east of Munich
Let us introduce ourselves: Personal, family-run and always there for you. And have been for 5 years.
Kathrin – when it comes to bookings, accounting and making the impossible possible.
Mark – contact person for technology, purchasing/sales and everything.
Nica – causes chaos! If there are no treats, it only helps to have treats with you!
Our history:
As two family friends, the Bavarian Camper and another family bought a motorhome (Sunlight A68) at the beginning of 2019. We rented it out when we weren’t using it ourselves. For personal reasons, the other family sold their share to the Bavarian Camper Kathrin in 2020. So the camper and the camper became business partners in addition to their marriage. We both discovered more and more joy in the camper business, so that more and more vehicles rolled into the “yard”.
How could things continue now? Steeply upwards!
Come along!
By prior arrangement (we are not always on site) it is possible to view the vehicles and find the right vacation companion.

From 2019 until today:
2019:
Purchase of the Sunlight A68 – a great vehicle that was shared between us families and rented out when not in use. Today we are constantly asked whether we had a hunch about Corona and everything associated with it and whether we backed the “horse” motorhome at the right time. The answer is clearly NO. And we mustn’t forget that the motorhome hype started before that. Corona has certainly not harmed us.
2020:
Mrs. Bavarian Camper takes over the shares of the other family. We order a Sunlight T67S to go with our A68. Corona – no idea what that is? We are just as unsure as everyone else. But we think to ourselves: never mind, let’s go to Croatia and test the T67S. And so that it’s not quite so boring, we pack our inflatable boat with us.
2021:
Despite Corona, the store is open. We make “Dinner in a motorhome” possible in cooperation with Landlust in Vaterstetten. We buy our Sunlight T67 so that we have more capacity. Stylishly a dream! And because we’re not careful, we rent out one vehicle twice! Of course, that’s not an option, which is why a Dethleffs Trend A 5887 joins our fleet. Tenants happy – we happy!
We move into our first hall in Parsdorf!
A dream come true! However, it’s clear from the outset that we can’t stay here forever. The hall will be demolished at time X. But we rent out pitches over the first winter and get to know some great people.
2022:
It doesn’t get any better, the Mr. Bavarian Camper has tasted blood, the Mrs. Bavarian Camper has nothing to say (not true, of course!). Various camper vans with pop-up roofs follow (very cool!) and our first RollerTeam 284 TL. A dream car. Room for 5, goes like a pig and consumes practically nothing (10.1 liters per 100 km at an average speed of 120 km/h). Unfortunately, this love affair only lasted until August 23. An Italian in Venice, busy with his cell phone, had unintentionally (presumably) identified our 284 as a victim and immortalized his Fiat Punto in the side of the camper.
2023:
We are thriving and expanding. We now have 6 mobile homes. We have to organize processes like the big ones. “Car comes in at 10 am!” Cleaning staff have to be at the start – at 1 pm it goes out again and drives over the “Brenner” for the 2nd time that day.
2024:
We now have 8 motorhomes! CamperVans no longer work at all. We reacted to this and sold our remaining van with a heavy heart. Instead, we bought a camper van that is absolutely amazing – but also requires a lot of explanation: the “Knausi”
But more importantly, we finally have a new home base! Our hall in Anzing, Gutenbergstr. 9, where we can plan and expand for the future. Stay tuned!
